The image layout block gives you options for laying out multiple photos together. There are various layout options and each one allows you to tweak it as needed — using different number of images and cropping.
Turning on or off the image crop will have a different impact depending on the layout and the image sizes. Experiment with both when using image layouts to see which one suits the situation best.

Symmetrical grid
You can use a max of 6 images in this grid. The grid will automatically reorganize itself based on the number of images you use.
Asymmetrical grid
This grid can accomodate up to 3 images. The grid will automatically reorganize itself based on the number of images you use.
Row
The row can feature up to 4 images. It display images in a row next to each other.
Turning on cropping with keep them at the same height. If you shut off cropping and images are different heights, they will display at different heights.
