Welcome!
The Harvard Division of Continuing Education (DCE) is dedicated to bringing rigorous programs and innovative online teaching capabilities to distance learners, working professionals, high school students, and those seeking higher learning in retirement.
These visual identity guidelines have been created to ensure a consistent and professional presentation of the Harvard Division of Continuing Education (DCE) brand across all communications. Following these standards will help build recognition and trust in the DCE name.
Harvard DCE is composed of four major programs committed to lifelong learning:
- Harvard Extension School
- Harvard Summer School
- Professional & Executive Development
- Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement.
While each program has its own identity, it is important for all programs to share unifying elements, so that we express a single, compelling voice in everything we do.
Primary Logos
Each Harvard DCE program, as well as the Division as a whole, has a logo. The logo is the central element of each program’s visual identity and must appear, at least once, on any materials produced for external audiences.
The logos are protected by Harvard University copyright, and may not be altered, added to, or recreated. Harvard DCE program logos (Harvard Extension School, Harvard Summer School, Professional & Executive Development, and Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement) must always appear with the Harvard Division of Continuing Education lockup, never alone.
For questions about the licensing or use of Harvard DCE’s trademarks on merchandise, the unauthorized use by others or the protection of Harvard DCE’s marks, or the use of any of Harvard’s trademarks, please contact the Harvard Trademark Program via email at Trademark_Program@Harvard.edu, or by phone at (617) 495-9513.
